How it works

  1. Energy source —
A boiler or heat pump produces low-temperature hot water. Modern systems use highly efficient modulating boilers or inverter heat pumps to maintain stable output with minimal energy consumption. Mixing & distribution —

  2. Water is blended to the correct temperature through mixing valves, manifolds, and circulators. Each zone receives controlled flow, ensuring consistent comfort in every room, from bathrooms to large open spaces.

  3. Heat transfer —
Warm water flows through PEX tubing embedded in the floor structure:
    • Over-pour / screed – poured topping with PEX-A
    • Radiant panels / sleepers – grooved panel systems
    • Sub-slab / on-grade – tubing fixed to insulation before concrete pour
    • Staple-up – aluminum plates fastened under the subfloor
The heated surface gently radiates warmth upward, creating even, draft-free comfort.

  4. Control —
Smart thermostats, actuators, and zone controls maintain stable temperatures and adapt to daily usage. The system automatically balances flow, reduces overshoot, and ensures long-term efficiency.

  5. Comfort & efficiency —
Radiant heat warms objects and surfaces — not the air — resulting in consistent, silent, dust-free comfort. With lower water temperatures, radiant systems deliver exceptional energy savings and long system life.
