We recently completed a full HVAC system replacement for a homeowner in Palo Alto, who decided to retire their old gas furnace after the blower motor failed. The new solution is a modern ductless heat pump system by Bryant, running on the latest low-GWP refrigerant R-454B (Puron Advance).

Installed components include the indoor unit DLS 45MUAAQ60XX3 and outdoor unit DLS 37MBRAQ48AA3, delivering up to 60,000 BTU and operating nearly silently. Quiet performance was crucial for the client, who plays the piano and values a peaceful home environment.

The installation came with some challenges: the 5-ton outdoor unit (24×21 inches) had to be lifted into an attic space. Our team handled it quickly and safely. The system was fully tested, city permit obtained, and everything launched successfully.

The total project cost was around $18,000, which includes equipment, labor, permits, and removal of old equipment. The client is eligible for up to $2,500 in rebates through the TechClean California program for switching from gas to electric heating.
